Ramadan: Akinlade charges Muslims to embrace generosity, kindness

Deputy governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections in Ogun, Honourable Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade, has called on on Muslims to imbibe the spirit of generosity and kindness during the holy month of Ramadan and beyond.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Mr Azeez Adelani, and made available to journalist, Akinlade, prayed for spiritual growth and heartfelt renewal of faith among Muslims.
The statement reads in parts: “In the face of the challenges facing our state and nation, I beseech Allah to grant us the strength and resilience to overcome adversity and thrive in this trying period and beyond.

“Let us, in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quran, embrace the virtues of generosity, kindness, and mutual respect towards one another. It is through embodying these noble qualities that we truly fulfill our roles as faithful Muslims.
“To my dear brothers and sisters in Ogun State and beyond, I pray for a Ramadan filled with blessings, fulfillment, and spiritual enrichment. May this sacred month bring us closer to Allah and to one another.“
